More Details & Pictures
1976 Westfalia Camper, original Tundra Green paint. I am the second owner and have been since 2001. Originally from New Mexico, has been in California most of its years.
Fully original and usable as-is without restoration, including body/paint, upholstery, curtains, some screens, cabinetry and camper features. Includes all cabinetry, under-dash table, child cot, and center table frame, but not tabletop.
Body Condition: Completely usable as is, but an excellent candidate for partial or full restoration. It could use repairs in certain areas, rear bumper, removal of corrosion under the windshield, new paint and window rubber. There is no major or floor corrosion – see pictures for details. I have the rear bumper, but would need some body work to re-install. I also have the rear right corner new replacement sheet metal.
Camper upholstery is in very good condition. Front seats are usable but could use overhaul or replacement. Pop-up tent could also use some repair or canvas replacement.
Mechanically sound and road worthy in all respects, drives and handles very nicely. Original 2000cc air-cooled fuel-injected engine, rebuilt in 2004, added hydraulic lifters. Under 20K miles since rebuild. Transmission, clutch, suspension, brakes, tires all in excellent condition.
The pages of life turn, time to part with it after 24 good years.
