More Details & Pictures
Pop-up camper van with automatic transmission! Runs well with recently rebuilt engine (less than 1k miles) and new carburetor.
Interior has the Westfalia camping equipment and storage. Pop-up canvas and screens in good shape, including the snap-in screen for the back hatch. The propane stove, sink w tank, and icebox are all in place but not in use so require evaluation. Electrical outlets work. This camper was also equipped with air-conditioning but we have not attempted to get that working again.
It appears that the body was originally “Ceylon Beige” but was at some point repainted to what looks to be Olympic or Laguna Blue with upholstery updated to the green and blue plaid with matching blue leather on the driver and passenger seats.
Clean Georgia title in our name. We are not collectors or mechanics, just ordinary folks who have loved her well, but don’t take her out often these days…she deserves to be with someone that will pay her more attention.

HISTORY
Purchased 7 years ago through thesamba.com from the son of second owners in north Georgia. He was a mechanic and said he rebuilt transmission, steering, suspension, and brakes. We have had work done since then by VW specialists MonkeyNut in Charlotte NC and Hilltop Motors in Jacksonville FL. Most recently, installed rebuilt 2.0 liter engine with new heads, piston rings, gaskets, and seals and a new Weber Carb Kit (single).
