Hi Guys

After working on this 1978 2L Fuel injection that has the be the straightest Volkswagen Combi Bus I’ve seen and took 9 months to find it would seem as soon as she is just about ready for a summer and some surf trips along comes our first baby. For that reason alone I am putting her up for sale or Trade.

Ive added a few photos and I will up date as I continue to clean her up(not there is much now to do) and if you like what you see please don’t hesitate to get in touch and we can talk more.

If truth be told I don’t really want to sell or trade her as Ive not seen many as straight as this one, but it seems it could now be a needs must now although if she don’t sell I will still take her out weekends for a surf as all my boards from 9ft 6 to my 5ft Simmons fit in her no problems.

The bus is set up with “Air Conditioning” VW fitted (which I know is as rare as rocking horse Sh*t), and comes with a 6ft 4 “Full size” pull out sliding slat bed I designed of which I made with rose wood slats on an aluminum frame that just slides in and out as the photo’s show.

The engine is a 2L fuel injection and she’s a beauty and VERY strong first time starter…
Ive spent $3000 on her at Halsey Automotive in Portland a well known trusted Volkswagen specialists that you are welcome to call and ask about this bus for the engine cleaning up as she stood for 7 years and I had the gas tank cleaning out.
I have also added new breaks / calipers and stops like a champ. The insides are super clean with the pans immaculate and solid and look how clean that inner roof liner. Comes also with an original VW german gas heater and fitments if you decide to head north or nay place cold ūüôā

I also have two of everything for the engine too so you are lucky enough to buy / trade for something that you can swop things out if you ever need to.
I’ve curtained her out so she’s good for those Mexico surf trips and like I say if you head to colder climates these heaters are better than the one in my Mercedes 350GLK… Of recently I have been working on the wheels and they are back to a dusty white and an army flat green hub and they look good ūüôā

As for a trade I’d be willing to put cash on top of my bus for the right vehicle, but I know at what I am asking she’s worthy of ever cent as I know a bus this good and straight / clean is just keep going up in value as the years go by and this bus is honestly priced. If you are wanting to trade for something with a lower value I will expect cash on top so “Please” don’t go offering me a lower valued vehicle as a straight trade as I won’t be trading…

Originally she was ran daily a always fired up first time and and still does and I never had any issues but since the baby coming I only run her down to work (1 mile away) in the Surf Ghetto and these buses need a good running daily to keep them good.

She will come with the table and she is fitted with a bench seat that lifts with storage space below. She is definitely a classy camper and super light! With the 2L engine she goes good and pulls off amazingly unlike the early models with their 1600 I pass by struggling to climb those hills with all their added heavy OLD camping gear… This Bus will sit at 65 – 70 mph all day long on the freeways no bother. Clock says 180k but with new bits added over the years be the previous lady its been well maintained and the most solid engine I’ve had and I’ve had an assortment of Vw from Fastbacks, Squarebacks, Notchbacks, Things, Buses and a few Beetles.

I have a clean title in hand and reg renewal is March 2018 on an Oregon plate and breezed through the smog test.

San Clemente viewings!

NO checks NO getting her picked up while sending out fake checks too please! And I don’t need help selling so please don’t call asking!

Thank you
