Hi, I have to move at the end of the month, so I’m selling my beloved Green Man. He’s been a super fun, solid everyday driver for the 3+ yrs I’ve owned him. I’ve taken him up the coast, surf trips, camping trips, in addition to being my work and band vehicle as well. 4-speed manual transmission. 1600cc single carb engine. 109,566 miles. Runs strong, shifts like a dream.
What I’ve done:
-new clutch, clutch cable, and pressure plate replaced 1 year ago
-new master cylinder
-carburetor rebuilt 4 months ago
-oil changed regularly
-valves/timing adjusted 2-3 times a year
-Bosch headlights, super bright
-tires good, lots of tread left
California car, clean title. Minimal rust under windshield, battery tray is rust free. Only body work is on engine hatch door, where I backed into a hydrant; but this door can just be replaced, no body work needed there. Overall this is a good, strong, straight dependable daily driver bus. It could use a new paint job, and a dash of TLC in the interior, but really it wouldn’t take much to make this a show quality bus. It’s a blank canvas if you choose to do so. Or keep it as is, and take it to the beach tomorrow. I still get looks everyday driving this guy.
Originally it had the full camper/appliance interior, but was removed at some point previously, along with the Murphy bed. I have the hinges kit to convert the bench into the fold-down bed, I just never got around to building it. I will include the hinge kit with the sale. As for the Hi-Top, it is not a sleeping bunk; it has two large storage compartments up top that hold a ton of stuff. Very useful.
I have to move and need the $$, so make me a reasonable offer and I will listen. $7200 OBO
