According to the gentleman who passed this Swiss High Top on to me (a Monterey VW shop owner), it is an original European delivery bus that was sent directly to Switzerland for conversion to hightop camper. Original Solid Vent Wings, Metal Dash, Cool Jalousie Window. Clear title, registered in California. Fresh 1915cc engine, Freeway Flyer Transmission, (very low mileage on engine and trans) Porsche 912 axles and CV’s, Heavy Duty rear sway bar. This bus accelerates smartly, climbs hills quickly, shifts positively through all gears, steers straight and stops good. There is some rust on the underside, but the outriggers and jack points have just been replaced. A 6 foot person can walk from front to back in this bus. There is facility for an overhead bed. The interior had been completely stripped when I got the bus. I’ve installed new seat covers, carpeting and panels where needed…basically I’ve tidied up the interior, all the better for you to consider the possibilities. Design your own interior, camper, work vehicle, sky is the limit with this High Top!! Ready to go!

I mentioned rust. Although there is some rust in the wheel wells and cargo area floor (along with some previous repairs), this is an otherwise solid bus that should be able to serve your needs for many years without changing a thing. The cab floors are solid. Patches in body where some vented appliances used to be. Small knots of rust on the body, but the body is remarkably straight with no gaping wounds of any kind.Lights, wipers and gauges work.

These busses are relatively rare. Overall, this is a very cool vehicle

I am also willing to sell the bus without the engine or trans for a reduced price.

Thanks for looking.
